Change In Aerial Tramway Programs, Hours Start Labor Day: What To Know

Summer programs, such as guided nature walks, provided by Mt. San Jacinto State Park volunteers, will conclude on Sunday.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will offer extended hours for Labor Day weekend.

During Labor Day weekend, extended hours for Saturday and Sunday will be held with the first car up at 8 a.m. and the last car down at 10:30 p.m. Monday will also begin with the first tram up at 8 a.m., and the last one down at 9:30 p.m., officials said.

The guided nature walks summer program provided by Mt. San Jacinto State Park volunteers will conclude on Sunday.

The Sundays-only nature walks feature a choice of two trails — the Desert Trail, which is a one-and-a-half-mile route that starts at 11 a.m., and the Long Valley Nature Trail, a quarter-mile loop that begins at 1:30 p.m. — that each begin at the bottom of the Mountain Station concrete path.
