Coachella Man ID'd In Thermal Homicide Case

Authorities Saturday identified the Coachella man whose burned body was found inside a vehicle in Thermal earlier this month.

THERMAL, CA — Authorities Saturday identified the Coachella man whose burned body was found inside a vehicle in Thermal earlier this month, and said the death was being investigated as a homicide.

The body of Jesus M. Hernandez, 35, was found around 2 a.m. on July 14 in the 83000 block of Avenue 60, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's officials said firefighters discovered the body while extinguishing a car fire.
