Coachella Music Fest Arrests Up Both Weekends In 2025

Arrests at the annual Coachella Music and Arts Festival jumped from the year before.

INDIO, CA — A total of 128 arrests were made during the second weekend of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, police said Tuesday.

According to Indio police Sgt. Abe Plata, the arrest number was a 14% increase from last year's second weekend of Coachella at the Empire Polo Club.

The largest number of arrests, 53, were for drug possession, police said.

A total of 80 handicap parking citations were issued, down 10% from the second weekend of last year's event.

Police said earlier that 95 people were arrested during Coachella's first weekend, a 17% jump from 81 the previous year.

Coachella organizers announced via social media this week the dates for the 2026 event -- April 10-12 and April 17-19. Advance ticket sales will begin May 2.

The Stagecoach country music festival will be held at the Empire Polo Club this Friday through Sunday.
