RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Buy a sandwich and help someone in need: win-win. On Wednesday, Jersey Mike’s sub shops across Riverside County, including in the Temecula Valley, will donate 100 percent of their sales to Cancer for College, a charity that provides need-based college scholarships and educational experiences to cancer survivors.

The initiative is part of the company’s 13th annual Day of Giving, when 2,500 Jersey Mike’s locations around the country are expected to give over $20 million to local charities. Since the Month of Giving began, the sandwich chain has raised more than $67 million, according to a company news release. Stores have also been collecting donations for their chosen charities for the entire month.
