Coachella Valley Rail Project Rolls Ahead
A proposed CV Rail project would provide train service connecting to the Coachella Valley to Downtown Los Angeles and Orange County.

COACHELLA, CA — City officials asked residents Tuesday to participate in the Coachella Rail Station Feasibility Study meeting next week to discuss the location and design of a proposed train station.
The meeting was originally scheduled earlier this month but was moved to July 24 due to the soaring high temperatures in the Coachella Valley.
The meeting will be held from 4-6 p.m. at Coachella Branch Library, 1500 Sixth St.

A proposed CV Rail project would provide train service connecting to the Coachella Valley to Downtown Los Angeles and Orange County. Officials said Coachella's Pueblo Viejo district area is being examined as a potential site for a rail station along the line.
Participants of the July 24 meeting will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on station access, surrounding connections, amenities and design features. Food and refreshments will be provided at the event.
