Coachella Valley Students Attend Two-Week Summer Session
The program is one example of how COD works with its K-12 partners in the Coachella Valley to help young students find career paths.

From College of Palm Desert: Middle and high school students from throughout the Coachella Valley attend a two-week hands-on summer session at College of the Desert to learn about Cyber Security, Computer Coding and Ethical Hacking.
When: The classes run Monday through Thursday this week and next. Nearly 40 middle school students attend a morning session that runs from 9 a.m. to noon while high school students attend an afternoon session. The morning session is more entertaining visually than the afternoon session.
Where: College of the Desert’s Palm Desert Campus, 43-500 Monterey Ave.

More Information: The COD e program is one of many examples of how College of the Desert works with its K-12 partners in the Coachella Valley to help young students learn more about finding their path to college. These summer sessions also introduce local middle and high school students to the possibilities of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) career.
College of the Desert began the first two-week session of its hands-on COD esummer program on Monday. A second two-week session will be held at College of the Desert’s Indio Campus starting July 31. That session continues to welcome applications from high school students.
