Coachella Valley Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Jewelry Theft
Maricela Alvarez-Limon of Indio has been arrested on suspicion of grand theft of jewelry from homes in La Quinta.

COACHELLA VALLEY, CA -- A 42-year-old woman has been arrested in Indio on suspicion of stealing jewelry from several homes in La Quinta, and at the same time, someone else at her home was arrested on drug possession charges.
Riverside County sheriff's deputies investigating the July 17 theft of jewelry from a home in the 60800 block of Desert Rose Drive determined there were additional victims and some of the stolen items were located at area pawn shops, according to sheriff's Sgt. David Aldrich.
Detectives identified the suspect in the thefts as Maricela Alvarez-Limon of Indio and served a search warrant at her home on July 19, where she was located and arrested on suspicion of grand theft, Aldrich said.

A 22-year-old man, identified as Ruben Mercado Alvarez of Indio, was also in the home and arrested for possession of methamphetamine, authorities said.
Alvarez-Limon was being held on $10,000 bail, according to Riverside County jail booking records. No information was available on Alvarez.
