'Come From Away' Musical Slated At McCallum Theater
On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.
PALM DESERT, CA — The musical "Come From Away" is scheduled to premiere at the McCallum Theatre Tuesday.
Based on the true story of events in a Newfoundland town following the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, the production tells the story of the 7,000 stranded passengers from 38 grounded flights and the residents who welcomed them into their homes.
The original Broadway run amassed seven Tony Award nominations in 2017, with Christopher Ashley winning for Best Direction of a Musical.
