Desert Shooting Leaves Cops With No Answers: Riverside County Sheriff's Investigate

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is actively seeking leads after a shooting in this desert community overnight.

COACHELLA VALLEY, CA — Authorities are still investigating a shooting that damaged at least one vehicle in Coachella on Wednesday, but caused no reported injuries.

Deputies responded around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday to the area of Douma Street and Avenue 52 after a man reported his vehicle had been struck by gunfire while he was driving, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Wenndy Brito- Gonzalez.

Deputies found evidence of gunfire, and no arrests were made, Brito-Gonzalez said.
