PALM DESERT, CA — The South Coast Air Quality Management District issued a windblown dust advisory Wednesday for parts of Riverside County through Thursday evening.

The advisory will remain in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday, the agency said. Periods of elevated particle pollution levels were expected in Jurupa Valley, Riverside and surrounding areas Wednesday and Thursday.

An earlier AQMD windblown dust advisory was set to conclude at 6 p.m. Wednesday. That advisory began at 6 p.m. Monday, with regulators saying the Coachella Valley and San Gorgonio Pass would be hit hardest.
