Dodge Charger Carjacking Suspects Both 16, Arrested, 1 At Large: Cops
They demanded the victim's keys and personal items before speeding off in the sports car in Coachella, RivCo Sheriff's officials say.

COACHELLA, CA — Two 16-year-old boys suspected in an armed carjacking in Coachella before sunrise Tuesday were arrested while a third boy eluded sheriff's deputies.
Deputies from the Thermal Sheriff's Station responded to the 84500 block of Calle Rojo around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday to reports regarding an armed carjacking, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Investigators determined after a preliminary investigation that the victim's Dodge Charger had been stolen at gunpoint by three teenage boys.

Sheriff's officials said the suspects demanded the victim's keys and personal items before fleeing in the car. Two suspects were ultimately taken into custody after being located and attempting to evade law enforcement.
``The third suspect ran from the vehicle but was observed in the area of Avenue 52 and Douma Court," sheriff's officials said in a statement.

A perimeter was set up in the area and searched by investigators, but the third suspect was never located.
The other two suspects were booked into a juvenile hall in Indio on suspicion of carjacking, robbery, criminal threats and carrying a loaded firearm.
