Driver Arrested For DUI After Palm Desert Crash
The incident happened around 3:44 p.m. Friday.

PALM DESERT, CA -- A driver was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence Friday after his car crashed in Palm Desert. The incident happened around 3:44 p.m. near the intersection of Cook Street and University Park Drive, police said.
Officers who arrived at the scene found a Toyota Echo with a male driver and female passenger. The passenger was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Police suspect Herbert Wallace, 39, of Indio, was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and then will be booked at the Riverside County Jail in Indio on charges of felony DUI, police said.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation and the investigation is ongoing.
