Extra Parking Lot At Palm Springs Airport Opens For Christmas
Headed out of town for the holidays? PSP officials say they'll be plenty of parking.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Holiday travelers headed out of Palm Springs International Airport this week will have additional parking opportunities as the main lots are expected to fill up quick. Palm Springs city officials say they are "providing all the necessary extra parking for travelers" by opening up their temporary lot.
The economy lot is located on airport property along Kirk Douglas Way and opened Saturday. Rates are $15 a day, with only credit cards being accepted.
"Between the usual parking and this additional lot there will be plenty of space to accommodate everyone traveling for the Christmas holiday," the city said in a news release. "A complimentary shuttle will be provided from the lot right to the front of the curb of the main terminal during operating hours. For the return to the lot, the same courtesy shuttle will be provided for as long as necessary."
