Free Hazardous Waste Collection In Coachella Valley Saturday
Anyone from the county's 28 cities and communities can take hazardous items such as motor oil, antifreeze, household and more.
LA QUINTA, CA — There will be a free hazardous waste collection event in La Quinta on Saturday, the Riverside County Department of Waste Resources announced.
Riverside County residents can dispose of their hazardous waste at the La Quinta City Hall south parking lot, 78-495 Calle Tampico from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, according to a statement from Supervisor V. Manuel Perez's office.
"People might not know where to take items such as paint, pesticides and batteries for proper disposal, and so they end up in the garage," Perez said. "These household hazardous waste collection events offer a great service in accepting these items."
