Garage Fire Displaces 3 People, Dog In La Quinta

LA QUINTA, CA — Two adults, a child and a dog were displaced from their home in La Quinta Tuesday after a garage fire broke out.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department responded to the fire in the 52000 block of Avenida Herrera at around 2 p.m.

A building inspector was requested to the scene a short time later, according to the fire department.

At about 3:30 p.m., the American Red Cross assisted the occupants of the home who were displaced.

According to the fire department, one person had minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
