Head-On Crash: 2 Injured On Highway 74 South Of Palm Desert

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA -- Two people were injured -- but not fatally -- after a head-on collision on Highway 74 in Mountain Center, just south of Palm Desert Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash, which was reported at 4:38 p.m., it involved a truck and a sedan, the CHP said.

Two people were taken to the hospital; one suffered moderate injuries while another's injuries were minor. The names of the injured have yet to be released.

Wreckage temporarily blocked traffic in both directions on Highway 74 Sunday afternoon and evening before it was eventually cleared.
