Indio Woman's Death Is Suspicious, Investigators Say

INDIO, CA - Police were investigating a suspicious death Saturday stemming from an altercation between a couple in Indio.

Officers received reports of a couple fighting at 5:30 a.m. at the Summer Breeze Condos at 47395 Monroe St., according to the Indio Police Department.

When officers arrived at the complex's parking lot, they found a woman in need of medical attention, though authorities did not specify what her injuries were.

The woman later died at the scene and her death is being investigated as suspicious, police said.
