Madonna's Rescheduled Palm Springs Tour Date Set After Health Scare

The 64-year-old pop diva will now appear at Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs on March 13.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Madonna's 2024 stop in Palm Springs was in jeopardy following news of her summer hospitalization, but the singer says she is on the road to recovery and new tour dates were announced Tuesday.

The 64-year-old pop diva will now appear at Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs on March 13. She was previously scheduled to perform at the venue on Jan. 11.

"All dressed up and Nowhere to go……………. …….. But Soon , Very Soon, I’ll be traveling to you . #celebrationtour," the singer teased Aug. 9 on her X account.

On Tuesday, Live Nation said it was "pleased to confirm that most of the North American dates of Madonna’s Celebration Tour have been rescheduled and will take place immediately following the originally announced UK and Europe dates."

The tour was paused this summer after the singer underwent hospitalization due to a bacterial infection.

Despite the health setback, Madonna promised fans she would not let them down. On July 10, she posted this statement on social media:

Forty years ago, Madonna rose to mega-stardom with her debut studio album, "Madonna." To memorialize four decades of pop music success, the announced her Celebration Tour that began this summer with more than 70 shows around the globe, including the January Palm Springs stop.

With the singer's health scare, most of the North American tour dates were rescheduled. Tickets originally went on sale in March, and according to https://www.madonna.com/tour seats are still available for the Palm Springs show.

According to Billboard, Madonna is the most successful solo artist in the Hot 100 chart history and the most successful dance club artist of all time with 50 Dance Club chart-toppers. She has also scored 38 top-10 singles on the Hot 10, and she held the record among all artists for nearly two decades before being overtaken by Drake and Taylor Swift. She's also achieved chart-topping success in several other countries.
