Man Arrested For Alleged Hit-And-Run, DUI In Palm Desert

Blaize Bowdle, 25, was cleared by a local hospital before he drove drunkenly through the city, police said.

PALM DESERT, CA -- A man was arrested Sunday after allegedly driving under the influence and slamming through a barrciade in Palm Desert. Blaize Bowdle, 25, of La Quinta, was charged with felony DUI and felony hit-and-run, the Palm Desert Police Department said.

Officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run around 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway 111 and San Pablo Avenue. They found Bowdle, who had been medically cleared by a local hospital, drive through the barricade that was placed in the area, the police department said.

Bowdle was booked at the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
