Man Ejected in Rollover Crash Dies in Palm Springs

An Arizona resident was ejected in a rollover crash on eastbound Interstate 10 near Desert Center, and died of his injuries Sunday, county officials reported.

Jacob Vallen, 26, of Phoenix, died at 3:37 a.m. at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.

He had been flown there following the single-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday night east of Desert Center, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.

Vallen was a passenger in a vehicle whose driver had lost control, and it rolled, coroner's officials said.

One other person was hurt and sent to a hospital, but no medical condition was available.
