Man Killed In Fiery Indio Crash

INDIO, CA — Police Saturday were investigating a fiery crash that left a man dead in Indio.

The single-vehicle crash occurred around 4 p.m. Friday on Avenue 49 and Hjorn Street, according to the Indio Police Department.

When officers arrived at the location, they found an unconscious man inside a burning vehicle and removed him, police said.

Officers performed life-saving measures on the man until paramedics arrived and rushed him to a hospital, where he later died, according to police.

Authorities did not provide details about what led up to the crash.
