Masked Smash-And-Grab Robbers Target Palm Desert Jewelry Store
Multiple suspects "smashed open display cases, grabbed an undisclosed amount of merchandise and fled," the sheriff's department said.

PALM DESERT, CA — A Palm Desert jewelry store was robbed by smash-and-grab thieves who wore masks and carried hammers, authorities said Monday.
Deputies responded to a call regarding a robbery at 2:20 p.m. Saturday in the 72000 block of Highway 111, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The agency told City News Service that multiple suspects "smashed open display cases, grabbed an undisclosed amount of merchandise and fled the location in a vehicle."

A video circulating on social media showed the suspects smashing cases, stealing merchandise and fleeing with large black trash bags in hand from a Don Roberto Jewelers at the Shops in Palm Desert.
