Missing Wife's Body Found On Halloween, Days After Husband Reports Her Missing From Their IE Desert Home
An extensive search for a Twentynine Palms woman ended when her body was found by her husband.

TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA — Over one week after a Twentynine Palms woman was reported missing by her husband, he found her body still on their property, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department shared in a recent news release.
The body of Hiroko Nagao, 51, was found on her property shortly after 1 p.m. on Oct. 31, Halloween day. Details on the cause and manner of her death are still unfolding, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. The Homicide Detail is leading the investigation, according to that agency.
It was Oct. 23 when Nagao's husband told authorities that he returned home to find his wife missing, Det. S. Lenihan shared in a recent news release.

Officers responded to the residence on the 74000 block of Aztec Avenue to take the missing person report. They discovered that none of Nagao's personal belongings were missing from the home at that time.
Eight days later, on Halloween day, her husband alerted authorities that he had found her body on the property, they say.

"Deputies from the Morongo Station's Homicide Detail arrived at the location and investigated the scene," Lenihan said. "The investigation is pending the outcome of an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Nagao's death."
No arrests have yet been made.
