Palm Springs Aerial Tramway Contest Starts This Week

PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will hold its annual snow guessing contest on Wednesday, allowing riders to predict when snow will fall at the Tramway. The first 10 people to correclty guess the first snowfall date will win admission tickets and a prize.

The contest starts Wednesday and concludes when the first inch of snow falls at the Tramway's Mountain Station, which has an elevation of 8,516 feet, officials said.

The prize is four regular Tram admission tickets and a special Tram gift memento. If there are more than 10 correct entries, winners will be chosen by the earliest postmark date.

To submit an entry, write the best educated guess with only one written date permitted on a postcard, along with name, mailing address and ZIP code, and mail it to Snow Guessing Contest, 1 Tram Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262.

The contest is open to the general public, and winners will be notified via U.S. Postal Service.
