Palm Desert Home Damaged In Fire

PALM DESERT, CA — Firefighters make quick work of a fire at a home in Palm Desert over the weekend, the Riverside County Fire Department reports. The blaze broke out around 4:35 a.m. Sunday in the 45700 block of Ocotillo Drive, near SR-74 and Highway 111.

Five engines responded to the single-family home and contained the fire by 4:51 a.m., according to fire officials.

The fire burned the rear part of the home, but it wasn't immediately clear if anyone was displaced.

The cause is under investigation.
