Palm Desert Police: Teens Robbed Victim

PALM DESERT, CA -- Seven teenagers were booked into juvenile hall last Friday after a victim was robbed at gunpoint in Palm Desert, police said. Police officers responded to the armed robbery shortly before 10 p.m. last Friday at Ocotillo Dr. and Tumbleweed Ln.
The victim told police he was approached by two teenagers who were armed. After demanding money from the victim, they fled in a car heading northbound on Ocotillo Dr., police said.
The car was later found traveling eastbound on Highway 111 in Indian Wells where six subjects, all between the ages of 15 to 17, were detained. A seventh subject fled on foot from the vehicle into the Indian Wells Country Club but was later arrested.

Jaime Vasquez-Garcia, 19 of Indio, was booked into the County Jail in Indio for conspiracy to commit robbery while the remaining six teenagers were booked into juvenile hall in Indio for robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
There were no injuries and this is an on-going investigation.
