Palm Desert Warns Commuters Of Road Closure Amid Golf Cart Parade

PALM DESERT, CA — El Paseo in Palm Desert will be closed to vehicle traffic for most of Sunday, so drivers should plan to take a different route through the area, city officials said.

The road will be closed from 4:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the 61st Annual Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade. The closure will extend from Portola Avenue to Highway 74, according to the city of Palm Desert.

"Motorists should expect minor delays and are encouraged to allow extra travel time or use alternate routes during the event," officials said.

The parade officially kicks off at noon but the festivities will start at 8 a.m with a Rotary Pancake Breakfast and end with an after party at Hotel Paseo at 2 p.m. More information here.
