Palm Desert's Golf Cart Parade Enters 61st Year With 'California Dreaming' Theme
The Golden State themed parade will feature a flyover, marching bands, food trucks, classic cars and more. Learn how to enter.
PALM DESERT, CA — Palm Desert's "California Dreaming" Golf Cart Parade will ring in its 61st year when it kicks off this Sunday — and it's not too late to enter your own cart, organizers said.
The festivities will extend from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a full day of activities planned, according to the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce.
The grand marshal of the parade is hockey hall of famer Grant Fuhr, with Tim O'Brien from NBC Palm Springs.

"This year, we're bringing the Golden State’s vibrant spirit to life with our
California Dreaming theme," organizers said. "Whether you’re cruising along in a fantastical golf cart, cheering on from the sidelines, or soaking in the sunny vibes, we want YOU to be part of the fun. It’s time to show us how YOU live the dream in California!"

Here's the schedule for the day:
8 a.m. | Rotary Pancake Breakfast
9 a.m. | Marketplace booths, kids & family fun zone, food trucks, local bands, La Fe Libation Station, classic cars and custom golf arts on display.
Noon | The parade begins with skydivers sponsored by General Air Conditioning & Plumbing, a PS Air Museum flyover, decorated golf cart floats, classic cars, marching bands, dance troupes and more.
2 p.m. | After party at Hotel Paseo until 6 p.m.
