Palm Springs Aerial Tramway Reopens in October

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will reopen as scheduled on Saturday, October 1 after its annual maintenance shutdown.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will reopen as scheduled on Saturday, October 1, 2016 after its annual maintenance shut-down. The first Tram up will be at 8:00 a.m., the last Tram up at 8:00 p.m. and the last Tram down at 9:45 p.m. Trams leave at least every 30 minutes on the hour and half-hour.

Completed projects this year include replacement of bearings on numerous Tram systems, shortening of a haul rope and comprehensive mechanical testing, along with annual cleaning and refurbishment at both tram stations.

“We are now ready and excited to begin our 53rd season,” says Tramway Vice President of Sales & Marketing Nancy Nichols.
