Palm Springs Hockey Academy To Launch In Palm Desert

COACHELLA VALLEY, CA — The Berger Foundation Iceplex announced Monday the Palm Springs Hockey Academy training program for high school students will begin in September in Palm Desert.

Players admitted to the program will train from 7:15 to 8:45 a.m. Monday through Friday at 75702 Varner Road. Players will have an academic curriculum provided by Desert Christian Academy, a faith-based private school located in Bermuda Dunes.

"We're thrilled to bring this level of hockey to the desert," academy President and co-founder Justin Reynolds said in a statement. "Our partnerships with Desert Christian Academy and the Berger Foundation Iceplex create a one-of-a-kind environment where student-athletes can train like pros whole receiving a top-tier education."

The academy will bring in student-athletes from around the world, including Los Angeles, Europe, Canada and San Diego, and the program will feature daily training, a competitive game schedule and mentorship.

"The launch of Palm Springs Hockey Academy has transformed the Berger Foundation Iceplex into a true center of excellence," Iceplex Vice President Leslie Deason said in a statement.
