Palm Springs Library Temporarily Closed Due To Malfunctioned Air Conditioner

The city is also dealing with a separate closure at the pavilion and swim center, which remains closed on Wednesday.

PALM SPRINGS, CA - The Palm Springs Public Library will be closed until further notice due to an air conditioning malfunction, with programs temporarily moved to another city facility.

All scheduled programs through Thursday will be relocated to the Demuth Community Center at 3601 E. Mesquite Avenue to "ensure the comfort and safety of visitors and staff," library officials said.

Wednesday's relocated activities include:

-- Draw along with Kyle (all ages) at 10:30 a.m.;

-- Make a Vision Board (adults) at 11:30 a.m.; and

-- Open Play Mah Jong (adults) from 2 to 4 p.m.

Thursday's activities will include:

-- Preschool Story Time at 10 a.m.;

-- Baby Story Time at 11 a.m.; and

-- Teen Taskmaster Challenge at 3:30 p.m.

The city is also dealing with a separate closure at the pavilion and swim center, which remains closed Wednesday due to a power outage reported Monday. The cause of the outage has not yet been determined
