Person, 2 Dogs Fished Out Of La Quinta Canal By Firefighters
County fire crews helped the trio on Thursday afternoon.

LA QUINTA, CA — One person and two dogs had to be fished out of a canal in La Quinta Thursday by county fire crews, but escaped injury.
The water rescue was initiated at 2:16 p.m. in a canal west of Avenue 54 and Jefferson Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The unidentified victim was warmed up in an ambulance, but refused further medical treatment. No medical treatment was needed for the dogs, the fire department reported.
