Photo Released Of Accused Indian Wells Bank Robber

INDIAN WELLS, CA — A bank in Indian Wells was robbed Wednesday and police have now released a photo of the suspect wanted in connection with the crime.

Deputies responded to a robbery at a bank in the 74700 block of Highway 111 about 9:30 a.m. and were told the suspect walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money, according to Sgt. Shaun Myers of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and he walked out of the bank, Myers said.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man, 6 feet tall, 250 pounds, wearing a black beanie, black button-down shirt and long black coat, Myers said.
