Rancho Mirage Shooting Leaves Man In Critical Condition

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA — An investigation was continuing Monday into a Rancho Mirage shooting that left a man hospitalized in critical condition.

Deputies responded to a report at 12:54 a.m. Saturday in the area of Bob Hope and Country Club drives regarding an assault with a deadly weapon, according to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez.

A person who contacted law enforcement said the driver of a vehicle was shot at the location.

The victim, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital by paramedics.

No arrests have been made, Brito-Gonzalez said.
