RivCo Burglary Suspect To Stand Trial For Several Charges, Judge Rules
A 49-year-old man is accused of burglarizing a Rancho Mirage home, taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and more.
INDIO, CA — A 49-year-old man suspected of burglarizing a Rancho Mirage residence must stand trial on felony charges, a judge ruled Thursday.
Damian Robinson of Cathedral City was held to answer on one felony count each of burglary, taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, receiving a stolen vehicle, receiving stolen property and possessing ammunition, according to court records.
He is due back in court for a post-preliminary hearing arraignment on Oct. 16 at the Larson Justice Center in Indio.

At 6 p.m. Oct. 3, 2023, members of the Palm Desert station's Burglary Suppression Unit along with the Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Teams served a search warrant in the 400 block of Prairie in Cathedral City, according to a statement from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The warrant stemmed from a burglary at a Rancho Mirage residence that occurred Oct. 2, 2023.
"During the search warrant, approximately $10,000 in stolen property and the victim's vehicle were recovered," according to the statement. Specific details about the burglary were not released.

Robinson was subsequently arrested. He is being held at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio on $70,000 bail, according to inmate records.
