RivCo Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested After Police Chase Through Palm Desert
A man was arrested after he attempted to flee from police, leading officers on a pursuit in the Coachella Valley on Wednesday.
PALM DESERT, CA — After leading police on a chase through Palm Desert on Wednesday, a man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, among other charges related to the pursuit, authorities told Patch.
At 4:19 p.m., deputies spotted a car they believed was being driven by a domestic violence suspect in the area of Dinah Shore Drive and Monterey Avenue. When they attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled from police, Palm Desert Police Department Sergeant Robert Martinez said.
Officers chased the man through Palm Desert until the vehicle "became disabled" in the 13000 block of Nahum Drive, Desert Hot Springs, police said. The suspect was found in a home on that same block, where he was detained without incident, officials said.
