RivCo Hosts Free Workshop To Prep Job Seekers For Coachella Valley Job Expo
The resume, interview and wardrobe workshops in English and Spanish are set for Sept. 11 ahead of the Sept. 17 job fair with 90+ employers.
INDIO, CA — Job seekers in the Coachella Valley will have the chance to sharpen their skills ahead of a major employment fair next week.
On Thursday, the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), in partnership with Desert Best Friend’s Closet, is hosting free career preparation workshops at the Indio Workforce Development Center, the county announced.
The sessions are designed to help attendees stand out to the 90-plus employers expected at the 30th Valley-Wide Employment Expo, set for Sept. 17 at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino Special Events Center in Indio.

Workshops will cover resume writing, interview techniques, and professional wardrobe tips — all key tools for job seekers navigating a competitive market.
English-language workshops will be offered from 10 to 11 a.m. and again from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. Spanish-language workshops will run from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1 to 2 p.m.

Organizers say the goal is to equip participants with the confidence and preparation needed to improve employment outcomes across the Coachella Valley, where many residents continue to face challenges tied to high unemployment.
