The 27-year-old is accused of injuring a victim twice before fleeing the area.

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA — A 27-year-old Palm Springs man was arrested Friday in connection with a late-night shooting and assault that left one person hospitalized last month, authorities said.
The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. on Sept. 27 near Bob Hope Drive and Country Club Drive in Rancho Mirage, when deputies responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station.
When deputies arrived, witnesses told them they had found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and were trying to render aid when another man, described as a Hispanic male, attacked the victim again before both men fled the area, officials said.
