INDIO, CA — The Riverside County Sheriff's Department will host a Corrections Career Expo Saturday at the John J. Benoit Detention Center in Indio.

The event will get underway at 10 a.m. Saturday at the county jail, 82675 Highway 111, and will be open to all members of the public until 3 p.m., according to Sgt. Brandie Jackson.

"This is your opportunity to see what our Corrections Division has to offer," Jackson said in a statement. "Attendees will have the chance to meet with Correctional deputies and learn about specialized units within Corrections, such as the Emergency Response Team, Transportation and Classification, and even get the chance to tour a jail bus."

Career information will be provided onsite by sheriff's recruiters for people interested in joining the department, according to Jackson. Application assistance will also be available for openings including correctional deputy trainee, court deputy, deputy sheriff trainee and 911 dispatcher.
