Riverside County Heat Wave Expected To Continue This Weekend
Riverside County's heat wave is expected to continue through the weekend and send temperatures into the triple digits for the next few days.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA -- A heat wave is expected to continue through the weekend in Riverside County, sending temperatures soaring into the triple digits through early next week, according to the National Weather Service.
A high pressure system moving to the west will be centered over Southern California for the weekend, Weather Service forecasters said, causing inland temperatures to rise. No thunderstorm activity is expected.
On Friday, high temperatures were expected to reach 98 degrees in Riverside, 107 in Palm Springs, 96 in the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning and 90 in Temecula.

Temperatures are expected to continue rising over the weekend, with highs in Riverside topping out at 100 degrees on Saturday and highs in the Coachella Valley expected to reach 113 on Sunday.
Conditions could begin cooling on Monday, but thunderstorms could be possible in the mountains starting Tuesday as monsoonal moisture returns to the region, forecasters said.
