Silver Alert Deactivated In Inland Empire

Daniel Detamore, 77 of Yucca Valley, disappeared after leaving his home early Friday.

YUCCA VALLEY, CA — Authorities throughout the Inland Empire Friday were searching for a 77-year-old man who disappeared after leaving his Yucca Valley home.

Daniel Detamore was the subject of a "Silver Alert" activated by the California Highway Patrol in the predawn hours Friday.

Silver Alerts relate to missing seniors. The current one encompasses both Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

According to the CHP, Detamore was last seen about 7 p.m. Thursday at his property in the area of Joshua Lane and Kingston Avenue.

The missing man's loved ones contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department when he didn't return home.

He's believed to be driving a white 2012 Dodge Caravan, California license plate 6-V-B-D-4-3-5.

Detamore is caucasian, blue-eyed and balding, and he stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds.

He was wearing a white T-shirt, green plaid robe, blue jeans and brown slippers, the CHP said.
