Missing At Risk La Quinta Woman Located: CHP

She vanished Wednesday near Muirfield Village and Golf View Drive, according to the CHP.

LA QUINTA, CA — A woman reported as an at-risk missing person was found, the California Highway Patrol alerted the public.

She was reported missing to authorities after she went missing on Wednesday in La Quinta, and a Silver Alert was activated until she was located, the agency said. An extensive search ensued.

Jeri Chamberlin was last seen shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday near Muirfield Village and Golf View Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. Chamberlin was described as a 5-foot-5-inch-tall woman weighing 110 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes.

The CHP announced Thursday that Chamberlin had been found, but as is customary in missing persons cases, where and when she was found was not disclosed.

The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled, or cognitively impaired individuals.
