SunLine Transit Agency Enhances Routes with New Service Changes

The changes will offer better connections, direct service to popular destinations and a more effective schedule for on-time performance.

From SunLine Transit Agency: SunLine Transit Agency will implement new service changes on Sunday, March 5, 2017, to introduce improvements and roll-out positive changes to the SunLine fixed-route system – offering better connections, direct service to popular destinations and a more effective schedule for on-time performance.

“We’re continually studying our route system looking for opportunities to enhance service for our riders,” said Lauren Skiver, CEO/General Manager of SunLine Transit Agency. “Through input gathered at public hearings held last year providing a forum for rider feedback as well as a continued analysis of the route system, we’ve developed service changes we believe will better meet riders’ transit needs here in the Coachella Valley.”

Seven lines received more than 20 changes, which include additional coverage near the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, an updated schedule for the Commuter Link 220, and more convenient stops/times including one that is closer to the Palm Springs International Airport.
