Suspected DUI Driver Rams Her Car Into Another
Accident occurs late Friday on Highway 111.

A woman suspected of drunken driving crashed her car into the back of a second vehicle along Highway 111 in Palm Desert Friday, and was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving.
Witnesses told deputies that Lori Arvizu, 50, of La Quinta, drove her Mercedes sedan into the back of a Toyota Corolla on westbound Highway 111 at San Marcos Avenue, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Ken Black said.
The crash was reported at 11:49 p.m., and no injuries were reported.

Arvizu told deputies she couldn't remember what lane she had been driving in or how the crash happened, Black said. Arvizu showed other signs of being drunk and was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving, the sergeant added.
She remained jailed Saturday in lieu of $2,500 bail, jail records showed.
