SUV Collides With School Bus, One Child Injured Near DHS: Cal Fire
A black SUV that hit a school bus near the intersection of Dillon and Corkill roads in Desert Edge, officials say.
DESERT HOT SPRINGSA, CA — At least one child was injured when a school bus collided with an SUV Tuesday morning near Desert Hot Springs, authorities said.
Officers responded shortly before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a black SUV that hit a school bus near the intersection of Dillon and Corkill roads in Desert Edge, according to the California Highway Patrol. Cal-Fire and medical personnel subsequently responded to the scene.
According to CHP reports, it appeared that at least one child was injured, but it was unclear whether the child was in the bus or the vehicle.
