Taste Of Jalisco Celebrated In 3-Day Cathedral City Festival

This weekend, plan to head to Cathedral City for tequila tastings, cultural heritage events, authentic cuisine and more.

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA — The City of Cathedral City will host a three- day festival celebrating the culture of its sister-city, Jalisco, at the downtown area.

The Taste of Jalisco festival will commence Friday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. at 68526 Lalo Guerrero, and is an all-ages, family-friendly event. Saturday hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the event will conclude Sunday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The festival will feature tequila tasting from renowned distilleries from Mexico, artisan markets, authentic cuisine, competitions, carnival rides, scenic venue of the surrounding landscape of the city, and live music and entertainment. The headline performers will include Banda Maguey with Nacho Bustillos on Saturday, and Lucha Libre Mexicana on Sunday.

According to the event's flyer, the admission to the festival will not include admission to the headline performers.

Cathedral City residents can have free admission on Friday only with a valid Cathedral City ID or with a Cathedral City utility bill with a picture ID as well, and one child per group under the age of five will be admitted for free.

Also, the first 250 residents to purchase tickets at the door Saturday and Sunday will receive free admission for the headline shows.
