Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort to Present Thanksgiving Celebration

The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa presents an exquisite Thanksgiving weekend celebration. There will be two sumptuous Thanksgiving buffet feasts, the annual outdoor celebratory Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and this year an extraordinary jazz concert under the stars with Sax Pack, featuring three world-class saxophone musicians.

The Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet will be served from 5 to 10 p.m. in the resort’s Pinzimini Restaurant. The dinner includes cold platters, carving stations, chaffing dishes, a risotto station, and a delectable dessert table. The cost of the dinner is $49 for adults and $22 for children ages 6 to 12 years. There is also a separate Thanksgiving Feast from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Celebrity Ballroom that will feature the same options as the dinner buffet, plus specialty salads, and a fresh shellfish display. The Feast is $69 for adults and $25 for children ages 6 to 12 years. Children 5 years and under eat free for the dinner buffet or the feast. The holiday festivities continue after Thanksgiving, with a special Tree Lighting Ceremony taking place in the outdoor Masters Plaza on Friday, Nov. 25. The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with the Lions’ Pride Chamber Singers from Cathedral City High School as well as Dicken’s Carolers performing holiday music favorites around the resort. At 6 p.m. special guests will welcome attendees and the tree will be lit, followed by greetings from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Children can visit with him and enjoy cookie decorating, hot cocoa and cider, along with characters Elsa and Olaf strolling among the guests. Those joining this special evening are invited to donate a teddy bear or other unwrapped toy that will be provided to local domestic violence charity, Shelter From The Storm.

On Saturday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m., the Grooves at The Westin concert series continues with a special performance by Sax Pack. The Sax Pack is a smooth jazz group featuring three world-class saxophone players Jeff Kashiwa, Steve Cole and Jackiem Joyner, who have who have individually sold over 1 million CDs and had over 20 Top 10 Smooth Jazz singles. All of them have enjoyed successful solo careers. Inspired by the infamous Rat Pack, The Sax Pack creates an atmosphere that is high energy and highly entertaining.
