Pedestrian Killed In Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, CA — A pedestrian was killed by a vehicle in Palm Springs Sunday.

Officers responded to a report of a deceased person on the side of the roadway on state Route 111 between Tipton and Snow Creek roads around 10:40 a.m. Sunday, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.

Authorities said a bicyclist traveling through the area reported observing an individual on the side of the road. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the person was deceased.

The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Northbound Highway 111 at Tipton Road was temporarily closed Sunday for the investigation, but was reopened just before 4 p.m.
