12-Year-Old Injured In Menlo Park Robbery

The victim was treated at the scene by Menlo Park Fire medics. The suspect —​ also believed to be a juvenile —​ remains outstanding.

MENLO PARK, CA — A 12-year-old was injured Wednesday afternoon during a bicycle robbery, and the suspect — also believed to be a juvenile — remains outstanding, Menlo Park police said.

The victim was treated at the scene by Menlo Park Fire medics, police said.

Officers at around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday responded to the 500 block of Central Avenue on the report of a robbery in which a juvenile victim was punched in the face by another juvenile, police said.

The victim was riding his bicycle home when they were approached by a group of around five teenagers, one of whom punched the victim in the face, knocking him off his bicycle, police said.

The suspect then dumped a blue bicycle he was riding and stole the victim's bicycle, a white Mafia Bamma with 29-inch rims.

The group of teenagers fled the area before officers arrived.

Officers circulated the area but were unable to locate the suspects or the victim's bicycle.

This is an ongoing investigation, police said.
