19-Year-old Man Arrested In Connection With East Palo Alto Murder
Police said Wilmer Vazquez Amador was arrested Tuesday just six hours after Abner Oswaldo Najeraxol was stabbed to death on Monday night.
EAST PALO ALTO, CA —An East Palo Alto man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the stabbing death of another East Palo Alto man the previous day, the East Palo Alto Police Department said.
Wilmer Vazquez Amador, 19, was taken into custody just after 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, six hours after Abner Oswaldo Najeraxol, 33, was killed Monday night, according to police.
The EPAPD said the willingness of a witness to come forward and cooperate helped lead to the arrest.

According to police reports, at 11:35 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the report of a stabbing victim in the 400 block of East O'Keefe Street.
Officers said they located the victim and applied first aid until paramedics arrived. But Najeraxol died at the scene, according to police.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and that they have chosen not to publicly announce the motive for the murder at this time.
This is East Palo Alto's third homicide of the year.
